How to do this: Open the glass container and insert the sticks. If you want less scent you put in less sticks, for more scent you put in all the sticks. You can turn around the sticks every now and then to enhance the scent. One tip is that when the fragrance oil has run out, you can advantageously use the glass container for a beautiful vase.
